Ronald E. Roy, 76, of Providence, died Wednesday, May 15, 2019 at Hebert Health Center. He was the loving husband of the late Linda (Livsey) Roy. Born in Pawtucket, he was the devoted son of the late Victor Roy Sr. and Jennie (Boyer) Roy.
Ron served in the Army National Guard as a sharpshooter and then worked as a letter carrier for the United States Postal Service for many years before retiring. He enjoyed traveling and loved animals, especially his beloved beagles. He will be missed by his many friends and relatives.
He is survived by his brother, Victor Roy and his wife Sheliah; three nephews, Robert, Charles and Brian Roy; and his niece Jacqueline Kunkel.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Ron's Memorial Service on Saturday, July 20, 2019 at 10:30 a.m. in the Swan Point Cemetery Historic Chapel, 585 Blackstone Blvd., Providence. In lieu of flowers, donations in Ron's memory may be made to: RISPCA, 186 Amaral St., Riverside, RI 02915.
