Kenneth "Kenny" L. Adam, 69, of North Providence, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, June 7, 2021, at home. He was the much-loved husband of 48 years to Christine (Keenan) Adam. Born in Central Falls, he was a son of the late Leo Adam and Gertrude (Kosinski) Adam. Kenny was a 1970 graduate of his beloved La Salle Academy and Roger Williams University with a BS in Electrical Engineering. He was a member of the IBEW Local 99. Kenny worked for several local businesses throughout his career and was most recently self-employed at Nexus Electric. Besides his wife he is survived by his loving children, Courtney Lombardi and her husband, Jason, of North Providence; and Meredith Adam and her fiancé, Matt Grillo, of North Providence. Kenny was the cherished "Grampa" of Benjamin and Ava Lombardi, and Charlie Grillo. He was the brother of the late David Adam of Tacoma, Washington. Kenny loved the game of basketball, playing at La Salle Academy and went on to coach the Rams to a state basketball championship in 1998. His love for his grandchildren was immeasurable. He was a mentor and friend to many. His funeral will be held Saturday, June 12, 2021 at 9 a.m. from the Maceroni Funeral Home, 1381 Smith St., North Providence, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Augustine Church, 639 Mount Pleasant Ave., Providence. Burial will be in Swan Point Cemetery, Providence. Visitation Friday 4 - 7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to The Kenneth L. Adam Memorial Scholarship Fund and may be mailed to LaSalle Academy, Office of Advancement, 612 Academy Ave., Providence, RI 02908-2796. Kenny's Scholarship Fund will provide financial support for a student attending La Salle Academy.
