Joseph P. Bahia

August 27, 1961 - May 31, 2022

Joseph P. Bahia, 60, of North Providence, passed away on Tuesday, May 31, 2022 with his family by his side. He was the beloved husband of Leslie Ann (Woodard) Bahia for 43 years. Born in Porto, Portugal, he was the son of the late Antonio and Gloria (Gomes) Bahia. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his three children, Antonio Bahia and his wife Sarah Schweitzer, Travis Bahia and his fiancé Samantha Maner and Erica Mills and her husband Exavier Mills; a sister, Maria Bahia; and his adored grandchildren, Gavin Mills, Preston Mills and Rylen Bahia. Joe worked at Bannister House in Providence for many years. He always put his family and friends first before himself. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, and grandfather (Poppa). Joe's passion was anything to do with cars and when he was in his garage that was his sanctuary. He loved great food and always shared with others his love for great tastes. He loved giving to others because of the smiles he would receive knowing he made someone's day. Visitation will be held Wednesday Morning, June 8, 2022, from 9 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. in the Maceroni Funeral Home, 1381 Smith St., North Providence, immediately followed by a Prayer Service at 11:30 a.m. Interment will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
