Fortunata G. Onesti

Fortunata "Gloria" Onesti (Florio), 92, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 24, 2019 at Hope Hospice & Pallativre Care in Providence. She was the wife of the late Joseph Onesti. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Francesco and Assunta (DiOrio) Florio.

Gloria loved singing at weddings as a young woman, watching soap operas, and took great joy in cooking for family and friends. She is survived by her sons, Peter Salvati and Steven Onesti; a sister, Stella Siersma; four grandchildren, Antonio and Regina Salvati, Joseph Onesti and Brittany Fyffe. She was the sister of the late Pasquale, James, Anthony, Peter, Armando and Mario Florio. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday, July 31, 2019 at 10AM in Holy Ghost Church, 472 Atwells Ave, Providence. Burial will follow in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
