Elsie R. Silva

September 28, 1925 - December 28, 2020

Elsie Silva (BUCCI), passed away peacefully on Monday at the age of 95. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Angelina (Iannetta) and Peitro Bucci. She was the loving mother of Dolores Centracchio (Domenic) and Joyce Palmieri Traini (Anthony). Elsie was forever surrounded by the love of her 5 grandchildren, David and Donald Centracchio, Donna (Centracchio) Rizzo, Tanya (Lombardi) Rivera, Jason Lombardi, and her 14 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by the love of her life, Silvio Palmieri, and in later life by Louis Silva. She was also predeceased by her siblings, Carina Wilman Wood and Vincent Bucci. Elsie was enriched with many friendships that she constantly nurtured throughout her long and happy life... she'd want to be remembered for her lively spirit and lust for life. Her contagious smile and wit will be sorely missed by all who knew her. She was a magnet for people and she danced like the music would never end. Relatives and friends are invited to share the celebration of her life with a Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday, December 31, 2020, at 11:00 AM in the Presentation of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church, 1081 Mineral Spring Ave., North Providence.
