Anna Emily Rucco

Anna Emily Rucco ( Liberatore), 89, of Rehoboth, MA, passed away Thursday, May 17, 2012 at Lifecare of Attleboro. She was the wife of the late Anthony G. Rucco, daughter of the late Teresa (Noviello) and Santo Liberatore and sister of Mario Liberatore, the late Rose (Liberatore) Marcello, Mary, Eva and Nicholas Liberatore.
Born in Providence, Anna worked the sales counter at the A. DeSantis Bakery in the Mount Pleasant section of Providence. She was a past president of the Mount Pleasant Little League Women’s Auxiliary and spent many years as a Cub Scout Den Mother. Anna and her husband moved to Rehoboth in 1985 where they could be closer to their grandchildren. Anna was an active member of the Rehoboth Council on Aging as well as the Rehoboth Walking Club. An avid line dancer, Anna often travelled to places such as the Catskills to do what she loved. In her later years, she derived her greatest pleasures helping with the care of horses at her granddaughter’s stable, Nevaeh Farm.
Anna is survived by her loving son, Domenic Rucco and wife Jerilyn. She leaves her two grandchildren, Domenic Rucco Jr. and Dyanna Rucco and her husband Christopher Mullen and five nieces.

Her funeral will be held Monday, May 21, 2012 at 9:30 a.m. from the Maceroni Funeral Home, 1381 Smith St., North Providence, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. in St. Domenic Church, 1277 Grand Army Hwy., Rt. 6, Swansea, MA. Visitation Sunday 4-7 p.m. Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
