Albert J. Peloquin, Jr.

July 1, 1944 - March 5, 2022

Albert J. "Pidge" Peloquin Jr., 77, formerly of Scituate, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 5, 2022. He was the loving and devoted husband of Linda J. (Fornaro) Peloquin for 50 years. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Albert and Kathleen (Keegan) Peloquin. Pidge joined the Air National Guard in 1964 where he served for 34 years before retiring as a Chief Master Sergeant in 1998. Additionally he worked for the National Guard Bureau before moving to Sprint Telecommunications. Pidge may have walked on the ground but his spirit forever roamed the skies. His passion was aviation and that was apparent to anyone that met him. There wasn't a plane in the sky he couldn't name just by the sound alone. On the ground he was often known to be hiking in the woods or skiing down slopes with his daughters, driven by a love of nature and the outdoors which he shared and passed down to them. A love which will be passed down to his beautiful granddaughter and grandson. Although his grandchildren may not remember much about him as they grow up, Pidge's spirit will be with them any time they enjoy the outdoors or gaze up - forever watching over them from the heavens, always with them, always soaring free in the skies. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his cherished daughters, Nicole Camara and her husband J.P. and Danielle Peloquin and her husband Hasham Faisal; two sisters, Christine Redish and Susan Mitcheson; and his two treasured grandchildren, Lillian and Rowan Camara. A Prayer Service will be held on Friday, March 11, 2022 at 11 a.m. in the Maceroni Funeral Home, 1381 Smith St., North Providence, followed by interment with Military Honors in the Rhode Island Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Exeter. Visitation Thursday 4 - 7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations in Pidge's memory may be made to: RI Military Family Relief Fund (https://appengine.egov.com/apps/ri/mfrf_donate) Alzheimer's Foundation of America (https://alzfdn.org/support-us/donate/)
