Adelard Desrosiers

August 4, 1945 - December 27, 2021

Adelard "Al" Desrosiers Jr., 76, of Providence, passed away on Monday, December 27, 2021. He was the beloved husband of Rosemary (Cacchiotti) Desrosiers for 53 years. Born on Staten Island, NY he was the son of the late Adelard Desrosiers, Sr. and Mary (Martino) Desrosiers. Al was a heavy equipment operator for the Providence Water Supply Board for many years before retiring. He was a proud member of the International Laborers Union Local 1033. He was a die hard Yankees and 49ers fan. Al was a devoted family man, father, grandfather and friend. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son, Joseph Michael Desrosiers Sr.; his daughter, Renee Desrosiers; two grandchildren, Joseph Michael Desrosiers Jr. and Kiara Leigh Desrosiers; and his canine companion, Sally. He was the brother of the late Josephine Mallett, Barbara Ilidan and Sarah DelSanto. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. His funeral will be held on Monday, January 3, 2022 at 9 a.m. from the Maceroni Funeral Home, 1381 Smith St., North Providence, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Pius V Church, Easton St., Providence. Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. Visitation Sunday 4-7 p.m. Relatives and friends are kindly asked to wear face masks. In lieu of flowers, donations in Al's memory may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN. 38105.
