Helen (DiMaio) Pichardo, 95, of North Providece, passed away peacefully at Cherry Hill Manor on Saturday, November 9, 2019 surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late Nicholas Pichardo. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Marguerite (Balzifore) DiMaio.
Mrs. Pichardo worked for the Rhode Island D.O.T. Registry of Motor Vehicles for many years before retiring.
A loving and devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother, she is survived by her two daughters, Cecilia Pate and Marguerite Cordero and her husband Joe; four grandchildren, Lisa Pate, Dina Pate, Joseph Cordero and Derek Cordero; and her great granddaughter, Ciara Cordero. She was the sister of the late Frank, Anthony, Joseph and Louise DiMaio, Vera Myers, Vincenza DiMaio, Anna Kuebel, Mary Rendine.
Her funeral will be held on Friday November 15, 2019 at 9 a.m. from the MACERONI FUNERAL HOME, 1381 Smith St., North Providence, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Anthony Church, 1413 Mineral Spring Ave. North Providence. Burial will be in the Rhode Island Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Exeter. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 4 – 7 p.m.
