Daniel K. Ogrodnik, 73, of Naples, FL, passed away Tuesday, October 24, 2017, at his home. Born in Coventry, he was the son of the late Joseph and Antoinette (Brouillard) Ogrodnik.
Dan was a graduate of Coventry High School. He served in the Army National Guard. Following his service, he started his career as a meat manager at Almac’s Supermarkets and continued in the grocery business for 40 years until his retirement from Dave’s Marketplace. After retiring he moved to Naples, FL, to be closer to his children. An avid golfer, he was a member of Cypress Woods Golf & Country Club. In addition to golfing, Dan enjoyed spending time with his friends and fishing with his son. He was a dedicated, loving father, putting others before himself.
Dan is survived by his daughter, Elizabeth Ogrodnik and his son, Kenneth Ogrodnik, both of Miami, FL. He was the brother of the late Richard Ogrodnik.
Dan was warm, inviting, and had a good sense of humor. He will be missed by all who knew him.
His funeral and burial were private.
