Zephida "Veda" Cartier-Giarrusso

ZEPHIDA “VEDA” Cartier-Giarrusso (SEVIGNY), 96, of Smithfield, passed away Thursday, June 15, 2006 at Heritage Hills Nursing Centre. She was the wife of the late Palmerino “Pal” Giarrusso and Ubald Cartier. Born in Fall River, Mass., she was the daughter of the late Alfred J. and Alphonsine (Gagnon) Sevigny.
Veda leaves her daughter-in-law, Estelle Beauregard; a granddaughter, Michelle Parent and three great grandchildren. She was the mother of the late Albert Cartier and the sister of the late Lauretta Connery and Anita Retzel.
A Service will be held Monday at 10am, in the MACERONI Funeral Home, 1381 Smith St., North Providence. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery, Cumberland.
