Yolanda L. Germani (Crugnale) 90, of North Providence, passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 10, 2012 at Heritage Hills Nursing Centre in Smithfield surrounded by her Family. She had lived independently all but 2 months of her life.
Born in Providence, January 23, 1922, she was the Daughter of the late Vincenzo and Felicia Crugnale (Troiano). Yolanda was predeceased by her Husband, Daniel “Dante” on February 5, 2012. They were married 62 years. She was also predeceased by her Son Stephen, who passed away on December 28, 1967 at the age of 11.
Yolanda was a homemaker all of her adult life, caring for her family. Her passion for cooking was something to behold. If you didn’t leave her home with a full stomach she would be insulted.
Yolanda is survived by her son, Daniel and his wife Patricia of Greenville, her granddaughters Lauren and Alicia Germani, who she adored and her brother John Crugnale of North Providence. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brothers, Luigi, Edward, Albert, and her sister, Vera Tinaro.
Visitation Thursday morning, November 15, 2012, from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 Noon, followed immediately by a Funeral Service in the Maceroni Funeral Home, 1381 Smith St. North Providence. Her burial will be at Saint Ann Cemetery in Cranston. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory can be made to Home and Hospice Care of Rhode Island, 1085 North Main Street, Providence, RI. 02904.
