William T. Tallo, Sr. “Tootsie”, 67, of Providence, passed away Sunday, March 22, 2009 at Golden Crest Nursing Centre surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of the late Catherine (Beavers) Rahill Tallo. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Pasquale and Cecilia (Georgio) Tallo.
William was self employed in the Jewelry Industry. He enjoyed squid fishing, mushrooming and cooking for his family and loved spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
He is survived by four sons, William T. Tallo, Jr., Vincent, Joseph and Thomas Tallo; four daughters, Cissie Spardello, Melody Tallo, Shannon Izzi and Tracy Gasbarro; three step-sons, Richard, Michael and Gale Rahill; four brothers, Luigi, Raymond, Steven and Gerald Tallo; five sisters, Harriet Tallo, Donna Abaga, Delores Robinson, Elaine Giarusso and Janice Di’Resto; nineteen grandchildren and four great granddaughters. He was the brother of the late Pasco, Gino and Arthur Tallo.
His funeral will be held Thursday at 9 a.m., from the Maceroni Funeral Home, 1381 Smith St., North Providence, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Augustine Church, Mt. Pleasant Ave., Providence. Visitation Wednesday 4-8 p.m. Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. In lieu of flowers, donations in his name may be made to Home and Hospice Care of RI, 169 George St., Pawtucket, RI 02860.
