WIlfred J Pichette., 84, of Providence, passed away Tuesday, March 6, 2012 at Our Lady of Fatima Hospital. He was the beloved husband of the late Mary Jane ( Singleton) Pichette. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late William and Louise (Arpin) Pichette.
Wilfred had worked as an Electronics Technician for the Providence School Department before retiring. He was a volunteer for the Food Bank at the Cathedral of SS. Peter and Paul in Providence and also served as a Eucharistic Minister. He was a Navy Veteran of WWII.
He is survived by two sons, Wilfred J. Pichette, Jr. and his wife, Maria and Paul R. Pichette and his wife, Rose; two daughters, Mary LaHue and her husband, Kevin and Laura McCoy; a brother, Edward Pichette, Sr.; eleven grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
His funeral will be held Friday, March 9, 2012 at 9 a.m. from the MACERONI FUNERAL HOME, 1381 Smith St., North Providence, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Atwells Ave., Providence. Visitation Thursday 5-8 p.m. Burial with Military Honors will be in RI Veterans Cemetery, Exeter.
