VITO RUSSO, 92, of Providence, passed away Friday, July 3, 2015 at Friendly Nursing Home in Woonsocket. He was the beloved husband of Rosemary (DiNucci) Russo for 63 years. Born in Newton, Massachusetts he was the son of the late Saverio and Concetta (Marino) Russo.
Mr. Russo worked at the VA Hospital in Providence before retiring. He was an Army Veteran of World War II.
Besides his wife he is survived by a son, George Russo and his wife Carol; a brother, John Russo; and two sisters, Mary Manber and Lenora Russo. He was the father of the late Renato M. Russo and the brother of the late Angelina Meglio.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Committal Service on Thursday, July 9, 2015 at 10 a.m. at St. Ann Cemetery Chapel, 73 Church St., Cranston. Interment will follow.
