Vincent “Jim” Cristi, 76, of Smithfield, passed away Friday, January 2, 2009. He was the beloved husband of Elaine M. (Pino) Cristi. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Guiseppe and Guiseppina (Argento) Cristi.
Jim had been the owner of Ledge Warehouse Liquors of Pascoag for 15 years.
He was a member of the Sons of Italy and was a Korean War Navy Veteran.
Besides his wife, he leaves a daughter, Toni A. Stockwell and her husband, Guy; two sisters, Antonetta Manfredi and Anna Tartaglia and a grandson, Troy Vincent Stockwell. He was the father of the late Vincent Cristi, Jr. and the brother of the late Joseph, Anthony and Charlie Cristi, Madeline Asaro, Rose Desmarais, Jennie Corcelli, Josephine Proctor, Angelina Laudano and Mary Nazzaro.
His funeral will be held Monday at 9am from the Maceroni Funeral Home, 1381 Smith St., North Providence, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am in St Michael Church, Smithfield. Visitation Sunday 3-6pm. Burial with Military Honors will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. Please omit flowers.
