Theresa Spolidoro, 96, of Providence, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 20, 2011 at Cortland Place in Smithfield. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Giuseppe and Maria (Fratantuono) Spolidoro; the sister of the late Anthony, Nicholas, Frank and John Spolidoro, Anna Spolidoro, Evelyn DeAngelis and Louise Fegatelli and the aunt of her adored nephew, the late Peter Frank Fegtelli.
She was a floor lady at Uncas Manufacturing Company for over 40 years and also worked every Saturday for many years as a sales associate for Almonti’s Dry Goods on Federal Hill.
Theresa was the loved, devoted and generous aunt of her many nieces and nephews. She is survived by Nicholas Spolidoro, Jr. and his wife Liz, Jeanne DiLibero and her husband Eddy, Marie Monti and her husband Sal, Joanne Tiedemann and her husband Jim, Raymond DeAngelis and his wife Geri and Diane Sarro and her husband Bob. She also leaves her great nieces and nephews who loved her Italian cookies and baking and a special afghan she crocheted for each of them. In addition, she leaves nine great grand-nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial Saturday, April 2 at 10:a.m. in Holy Ghost Church, Knight St., Providence. Visiting hours respectfully omitted. Burial will be private.
