TERESA IANIERI, 91, of Johnston, passed away peacefully, August 18, 2014 at Miriam Hospital surrounded by her loving family and friends. She was the wife of the late Joseph Ianieri. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Antonio and Antonette (Lepre) Scolardi.
Before her retirement at age 80, Teresa had worked at the Calart Artificial Flower Company for many years. She also worked for the W.R. Cobb Company in Cranston and the Dollar Depot in Pawtucket, where she was dearly loved by the employees and many of the customers.
She leaves her loving daughters, JoAnn and her former husband Joseph Pietrantonio and Carol Nanni and her fiancé Ronald Plante; loving sisters, Emma Santo and Josephine Scolardi, both of North Providence, and Elvira Fleming and her husband Vincent of Cranston; devoted sisters-in-law, Anna Scolardi, Jennie Gates and Marie Ianiero; and her loving and devoted friend, Thomas Boardman. She is also survived by her loving four-legged family consisting of Don Chich “Fatso”, Arrabella “Freshy” and Sully “The Old Man.” She was predeceased by her brother, Anthony Scolardi and two sisters, Anna Senape and Della DeSpirito.
Her funeral will be held Saturday, August 23, 2014 at 8 a.m. from the MACERONI FUNERAL HOME, 1381 Smith St., North Providence, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9 a.m. at Holy Cross Church, 645 Hartford Ave., Providence. Interment will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
