Sue Conti (Bozzi), 99, of Providence, passed away Friday,
February 24, 2012 at Elmhurst Extended Care. She was the wife of the late Frank Conti and daughter of the late Domenic and Maria (Iannuzzi) Bozzi.
At an early age, Sue worked in the family business, Bozzi’s Bakery, where she developed her strong work ethic. In her later years, she worked at Lying-In Hospital until her retirement in 1977. Strength and determination characterized her life. She enjoyed sewing, reading and the company of family and friends. All who knew her marveled at her wonderful memory and her gift for recounting almost a century of events and family stories.
She is survived by her two daughters, Regina Cabral and husband, Manuel and Marilyn Zartarian and husband, Alan; four grandchildren, Christine Cabral, Suzanne Hewett and husband, Matt; Lori and Brian Zartarian; four great grandchildren and a sister, Gloria Teolis. She was predeceased by brothers, Jimmy, Ralph and Raymond Bozzi and sisters, Gilda Ricci and Elma Gallo.
Visiting hours Monday evening from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the MACERONI FUNERAL HOME, 1381 Smith St., North Providence. Per her wishes, the funeral and burial will be private.
