Stanley Haygarth, 88, passed away Sunday, April 4, 2010 at Spartanburg Hospice Home in Spartanburg, SC. He was a longtime resident of Providence until his illness. Born in Bradford, England in 1921, he was a member of the Royal Air Force until moving to the U.S. He was employed by Raytheon for 28 years as an electrical engineer until his retirement and enjoyed camping, gardening, watching the Boston Red Sox and spending time with his two grandchildren.
Survivors include his daughter, Karen Charroux; a grandson, Cameron Charroux and a granddaughter, Courtney Charroux, all of Spartanburg. He was predeceased by his wife Elena; his parents, Florrie and Duke Haygarth; a brother, Ronald and sister-in-law, Edna.
A Funeral Service will be held Friday at 12 Noon in the Maceroni Funeral Home, 1381 Smith St., North Providence. Visitation Thursday 5-8 p.m. Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
