Salvatore "Sam" Musumeci
September 10, 1917 — July 2, 2013
SALVATORE “SAM” MUSUMECI, 95, of North Providence, passed away Tuesday, July 2, 2013 at Home & Hospice Care of RI in Providence. He was the beloved husband of the late Barbara (Schlink) Musumeci. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Santo and Domenica (Cardente) Musumeci.
Sam was a Painting Contractor and was the owner and operator of Musumeci Painting & Decorating. He was an Army Veteran of WWII.
He is survived by a son, Richard Musumeci and his wife, Fran; a daughter, Brenda Kane; a brother, Tommy Musumeci; three sisters, Rose Mesolella, Lena Ferreira and Evelyn Ricci; his treasured grandson, David and his four great grandchildren, Jackie, Kyle, Maggie and Brynn. He was the brother of the late Mondo, Anthony and Louis Musumeci, Sr., Anna Fascitelli and Carrie Warbington.
His funeral will be held Saturday, July 6, 2013 at 10 a.m., from the Maceroni Funeral Home, 1381 Smith St., North Providence, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. at Mary, Mother of Mankind Church, Fourth St., North Providence. Visitation Friday 4-8 p.m. Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to Amos House, 415 Friendship St., Providence, RI 02907.
