Rosina Russo Grande, 86, of Johnston, passed away Wednesday, July 29, 2009 at Hopkins Manor where she resided for the past year. She was the wife of the late Vito Russo. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Pasquale Grande and Maria (Santoro) Grande and the mother of the late Bernadette A. Russo and the late Victor Russo.
Rosina was co-owner of AGRO Jewelry for several years and was a waitress for the former Smith’s Restaurant.
She leaves a grandson, Thomas H. Connelly III; two brothers, Angelo Grande and Americo Grande; her former son-in-law, Thomas H. Connelly Jr. and his wife Janice and many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Louise Grande Valletta, Agnes Grande Leveille, Alfred Grande, Anthony Grande and Joseph Grande.
VISITATION Monday morning from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m. at the MACERONI Funeral Home, 1381 Smith Street, North Providence, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Mary Church, Broadway, Providence. Burial will follow in St. Francis Cemetery, Pawtucket.
