ROSE M. ZAMBARANO (RUSSO), 90, of North Providence, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on Saturday, December 2, 2006. She was the beloved wife of the late Joseph P. Zambarano. Born in North Providence, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Angelina (Ricci) Russo.
She had worked as a secretary for many years at her husband’s business, the former Zambarano Radio and Repair. She was a volunteer at Fruit Hill Center for the Elderly and was a member of AARP, the St. Ann Society of Our Lady of Grace Church and the North Providence Senior Center. She loved cooking, crocheting and dressmaking.
Rose was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She leaves a devoted daughter, Mary Elizabeth “Liz” Hamel and her husband Gerard E. “Gus” Hamel; a sister, Mary Cerbo; three brothers, Carmino Russo, Benny Russo and Anthony Russo; a granddaughter Karen Baglini and her husband David Baglini; two great grandchildren, Justin and Adrianna Baglini and a son-in-law, Anthony F. Bacci. She was the sister of the late Paul and Eugene Russo, Pat San Antonio, and Lucy Di Pierro.
The funeral will be held Thursday at 9am, from the MACERONI Funeral Home, 1381 Smith St., North Providence, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am in Our Lady of Grace Church, George Waterman Rd., Johnston. VISITATION Wednesday 4-8pm.
Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. Flowers strictly omitted. Donations in her memory may be made to Home & Hospice Care of R.I., 169 George St., Pawtucket, R.I. 02860.
