Rose Di Chiaro (DeROBBIO), 94, passed away Tuesday, July 10, 2007 at Cortland Place. She was the wife of the late John DiChiaro, Sr.
Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Angelo and Josephine (Box) DeRobbio. Rose was a devoted and loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She loved to cook and was an avid reader.
She leaves two sons; Robert DiChiaro and his wife Sandra, William DiChiaro and his wife Catherine, three daughters; Diana Heiss and her husband Edward, Gloria DelGreco and her husband Raymond, and Rosina Ferrante and her husband Robert, two brothers; Carmino and Angelo DeRobbio, three sisters; Josephine 'Josie' Rotondo, Dolores Iasimone and Lucy Coppolino, 16 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren. She was the mother of the late John DiChiaro, Jr. and Jean DiChiaro, and the sister of the late Viola Zannelli, Anna Picozzi and Mary Supino.
her funeral will be held Friday at 8:45 am from the MACERONI Funeral Home, 1381 Smith St., North Providence, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am in Our Lady of Grace Church, George Waterman Road, Johnston. Burial will be in Highland Memorial Park, Johnston. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Our Lady of Grace Memorial Society, 4 Lafayette St., Johnston, RI 02919.
