Rose A. Centore

July 10, 1925 — September 30, 2013

ROSE A. CENTORE, 88, of Johnston, passed away Monday, September 30, 2013 at the Philip Hulitar Inpatient Center surrounded by her cherished family. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Pasquale and Elizabeth (Perrotti) Centore.

Rose had worked as a supervisor at American Jewelry Chain before retiring.

She is survived by her brother, Antonio “Tony” Centore; a sister, Louise Simonson, brother-in-law, Dale Simonson, sister-in-law Madeline Centore; four nephews, Pat, Anthony, Gerald, and Thomas Centore; two nieces, Dolores Burke and Catherine Boutin; ten great nieces and nephews and one great-great nephew. She was the sister of the late John Centore, sister-in-law of the late Mildred Centore, and the aunt of the late Timothy Centore.

Her funeral will be held Friday, October 4, 2013 at 8:45 a.m., from the Maceroni Funeral Home, 1381 Smith St., North Providence, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at St. Robert Bellarmine Church, 1804 Atwood Ave., Johnston. Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. Visitation Thursday 4-7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the St. Robert Bellarmine Food Shelf, 1804 Atwood Ave., Johnston, RI 02919.
