d. November 4, 2009

ROBERT TERINO PROCACCINI, 40, of Newport, Rhode Island, passed away after a sudden illness on Wednesday, November 4, 2009, ending a brief but wonderful life.

Bobby graduated from Boston University with a BS Degree in Mechanical Engineering, and was employed by Johnson & Johnson and Symmetry Medical during his career. With a heart for adventure and a love for the sea, he was an accomplished sailor who held a Merchant Marine Sea Captain’s license and also a Private Pilot’s license. A true gourmet of epicurean delights, Bobby spent his free time cooking and enjoying the culinary pleasures which brought him such happiness and tranquility. He loved creating spectacular meals for family and friends, and his infectious smile, booming laugh and warm nature were unforgettable to everyone who knew him. He was the creator and host of “Bobby’s Beach”, a shoreline oasis at his family’s home in Jamestown, where he often entertained and shared his culinary talents, humor and graciousness with others. Bobby was a man of great self-confidence, and his natural leadership was a source of inspiration and comfort to those around him. Bobby also loved making wine with his father, and it was his father who taught him the skills of fine carpentry and instilled in him the ability to fix nearly anything.

He is survived by a host of loving family and friends who will cherish his memory. He was the loving son of Frank and Joyce (Terino) Procaccini of North Providence; brother of Sherri Procaccini of North Providence and Frank J. Procaccini of Richmond; uncle of David and Robert Santilli of North Providence and Faith Procaccini of Richmond; nephew of Connie and Anthony Donfrancesco of Lincoln, Joseph Terino, Jr. of East Greenwich, Robert and Charlene Terino of Providence and Karen Gambuto of North Providence; and was the loving companion of Laura Larsen. Bobby was the grandson of the late Palmina and Joseph Terino and the late Mary and Anthony Procaccini.

His funeral will be held Monday at 9:15am from the MACERONI Funeral Home, 1381 Smith St., North Providence, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30am in the Cathedral of SS. Peter and Paul, Cathedral Square, Providence. VISITATION Sunday 4-8pm. Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. In lieu of flowers donations in his memory may be made to The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society of RI, 1210 Pontiac Ave., Cranston, RI 02920.
