WILSON, ROBERT J. “Bob”, 59, passed away Thursday, April 6, 2006 at home. He was the beloved husband of Vincenza (Colasanto) Wilson. Born in Attleboro, Mass., he was the devoted son of Irene( Phillips) Wilson and the late William Wilson.

Bob was devoted to his family and enjoyed bowling, golfing and babysitting his grand-dog Golgi. He was a 1965 graduate of East Providence High School. He was the coach for many years of the Edgewood / South Elmwood Little league and in 1985 he led the All Star Team to the District Championship. He was a Navy Veteran of the Vietnam War serving on the USS Shangri-La Aircraft Carrier.

Besides his mother and wife, he leaves his beloved son, Robert M. Wilson and his wife Elizabeth and his beloved brother, Bernard Wilson and his wife Deborah. He was the beloved brother of the late William Wilson.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial Monday at 9am in St Robert Bellarmine Church, Atwood Ave., Johnston. Burial with Military Honors will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. Visiting hours respectfully omitted. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Robert Bellarmine Church Food Closet, 1804 Atwood Ave., Johnston, R.I. 02919 or to American Heart Association, PO Box 3049, Syracuse, NY 13220.
