Richard Valente “DICK”, 65, of Johnston, passed away Wednesday, April 18, 2007 at Kent Hospital in Warwick. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Ernest and Theresa (Moccia) Valente.
Richard had worked as a bricklayer and was a member of the Bricklayers and Allied Craftsman Union Local # 1. He coached North Providence East Little League, Johnston Sr. Babe Ruth League and Johnston Fall Ball.
He is survived by three sons, John Ginolfi, Christopher Valente and Jeffrey Valente. Visitation at the MACERONI Funeral Home, 1381 Smith St., North Providence Tuesday morning from 10am until 11am when a Memorial Service will be held. In lieu of flowers, donations in his name may be made to RIIABL Knights, 19 Rose St., North Providence, RI 02904.
