Richard N. Izzi, 68, of Smithfield, passed away Wednesday, March 19, 2008, at Roger Williams Medical Center in Providence. He was the beloved husband of the late Lorraine (Bowen) Izzi. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Joseph and Elizabeth (Kinney) Izzi.
Richard had worked as a manager at Beacon Records and was also a chef at Providence College, retiring in 1989. He loved to draw and paint and some of his paintings were on display at the Smithfield Library. He also liked to write letters to the editor of the Providence Journal, many of which were published.
He leaves two daughters, Debra Paone and Marlene Macri; two brothers, Joseph and Donald Izzi and three grandchildren, Brittany Macri, Julia Paone and Olivia Paone. He was the brother of the late Barbara Travers. His funeral and burial will be private.
