Richard A. DiMario, 88, of North Providence, passed away Wednesday, January 18, 2017 at Hebert Nursing Home. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Anthony J. and Mary (Mendillo) DiMario.
Mr. DiMario was a screenwriter in broadcasting for many years before retiring. He was a volunteer cameraman at Our Lady of Fatima Hospital Chapel and was an Army Veteran of the Korean War.
He is survived by his loving sister, Norma Meglio; cherished nieces and nephews, Thomas Meglio, Anthony Meglio and his wife Christine and Norma Jean Corsini and her husband Arthur; and great nieces and nephews, Nicole Meglio, Anthony Meglio, Maria Corsini, Arthur Corsini, Jr. and Joseph Corsini.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial Saturday, January 21, 2017 at 11 a.m. at St. Augustine Church, 639 Mount Pleasant Ave., Providence. Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. Visiting hours respectfully omitted. In lieu of flowers, donations in Mr. DiMario’s memory may be made to: St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-9959.
