RALPH IANNOZZI, “MICKEY”, 80, passed away Wednesday, March 8, 2006 at the home of his daughter, Dianne E. Peretti with whom he lived.. He was the husband of the late Elena A. (Nigri) Iannozzi. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Raffaele and Carmella (Conalongo) Iannozzi.
He had been employed as a Tool & Dye Maker with various local manufactures. He was an avid golfer and fisherman and enjoyed playing cribbage. He was a member of the Sons of Italy and was a devoted parishioner of Mary, Mother of Mankind Church. He also served his country in the Navy during WWII.
Besides his daughter Dianne, he leaves two other daughters, Beverly A. Romano and Lynn A. Bouchard.; a sister Mollie Cornachione, 7 grandchildren and his companion of 10 years, Elena Volpe. He was the brother of the late Arthur, Alfred and Americo Iannozzi, Eleanor Phillips, Angelina Capobianco, Anna M. Ferragamo and Antonetta Iannozzi.
The funeral will be held Saturday at 9am, from the Maceroni Funeral Home, 1381 Smith St., North Providence, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am in Mary, Mother of Mankind Church, North Providence. Burial will be in St. Francis Cemetery, Pawtucket. VISITATION Friday 5-8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to Mary, Mother of Mankind Church, 25 Fourth St., North Providence, R.I. 02911.
