Raffaella “Rae” Viti (Procaccini), 92, of Providence, passed away Saturday, April 24, 2010 at Steere House. She was the beloved wife of the late Benedetto “Benny” L. Viti. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Francesco and Antonia (DeCotis) Procaccini.
Rae was a member of the Catholic Women's League of Holy Ghost Church and the Dora C. Howard Senior Center in Smithfield.
She leaves three sons, Richard Viti, Steven B. Viti and Benjamin B. Viti; a daughter, Esther Botelho; a sister, Rose Scappaticci; six grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. She was the mother of the late Lewis Viti and the sister of the late Michael, Joseph, Anthony, Angelo and Louis Procaccini.
Visitation Tuesday morning 8:15 a.m. to 9:15 a.m. at the Maceroni Funeral Home, 1381 Smith St., North Providence, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in Holy Ghost Church, Knight St., Providence. Entombment will be in Our Risen Christ Mausoleum, St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to Steere House, 100 Borden St., Providence, RI , 02903.
