Petrina Finelli (Sapio), 87 of Smithfield, passed away Tuesday, October 20, 2009 at Cortland Place. She was the beloved wife of the late Vincent Finelli. A lifelong resident of Providence, she was the daughter of the late Salvatore and Maria (Interlandi) Sapio.
Petrina worked for Uncas Manufacturing as a stone setter for 40 years. She is survived by several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Anthony, Joseph and Pauline Sapio and Mary Chiappinelli.
Her funeral will be held Friday at 8a.m. from the Maceroni Funeral Home, 1381 Smith St., North Proividence, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9 a.m. in St. Thomas Church, Fruit Hill Ave., Providence. Visiting hours respectfully omitted. Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to St. Thomas Church, 65 Fruit Hill Ave., Providence, RI 02909. Condolences at maceroni.com
