Peter F. McBride

MC BRIDE, PETER F. JR., 79, passed away Thursday, October 4, 2007 at Golden Crest Nursing Centre. He was the husband of the late Irene A. (Lowe) McBride. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Peter F. and Elizabeth (Arnold) McBride.
Mr. McBride had worked as a highway engineer for the State of Rhode Island Highway Planning Department, before retiring. He was past president of Lincoln Country Club, a member and Past Club Champion of Glocester Country Club, and was a member of Kirkbrae Country Club. Mr. McBride had also served as Chairman of the North Providence Zoning Board.
He is survived by his two sons, Peter F. McBride III and his wife Sandra, and Michael P. McBride; and his grandson, Mark McBride.
Visitation Monday 5-7 p.m. Funeral Tuesday at 9 a.m. from the Maceroni Funeral Home, 1381 Smith St., North Providence, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in Mary Mother of Mankind Church, 25 Fourth St., North Providence. Burial will be in Highland Memorial Park, Johnston. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Hope Alzheimer’s Center, 25 Brayton Ave., Cranston, RI 02920.
