Paul Richard Falcone, 77, of North Providence, passed away on Monday, October 10, 2011 at Rhode Island Hospital in Providence surrounded by his loving family. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Constantine (Gus) and Giovanina (Jenny) Barbato and brother to the late Joseph D. Falcone, Constantino Falcone of Bridgeport,Ct., the late Rudolph Falcone and Janet Nemirow of Warwick.
Paul was a veteran of the US Army where he served in the Signal Corps and since has been an active member of the Disabled American Veterans Association. Paul was briefly employed at General Dynamics in Groton, Ct. and Ciba Geigy in Warwick before retiring in 1996 from Verizon Communications, where he spent over 30 years as a Central Office's Master Switch Technician. He was Chairman of Board of MiddleBridge Staffing in Warwick, RI.
He was the father of Jacqueline and Frank Calcagni of Johnston, Ronald and Pam of Lincoln, and Kenneth and Andrianna of South Kingstown. He is survived by his former wife, Filomena Perrotti, and six grandchildren.
His visiting hours will be held on Friday morning from 8:30 a.m. to 10:15 a.m. at the MACERONI FUNERAL HOME,1381 Smith Street in North Providence, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m.in St. Anthony Church, Mineral Spring Avenue, North Providence .Prayers will follow in St. Francis Cemetery, Pawtucket.
