Pasquale J. "Pat" Bottone

June 22, 1925 — May 31, 2014

PASQUALE J. BOTTONE “PAT”, 88, of Providence, passed away on saturday, May 31, 2014 at Kent County Hospital. He was the beloved husband of the late Angelina (Mollicone) Bottone. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Antonio and Anna (Marcoccio) Bottone.

Pat is remembered as a talented, hard-working person, whose favorite pastime for years was reading Popular Science, Popular Mechanics and other technical magazines from which he generated ideas for elaborate projects that he would create with his own hands and ingenuity. He earned his Bachelor’s Degree and a Teaching Certificate from Rhode Island College in the 1960s and taught welding and other vocational education courses in the Woonsocket School System for 25 years, receiving much acclaim for the types and quality of projects his students completed under his guidance. He excelled in metallic art pieces, fine woodworking, and home-grown electronics.

He leaves a brother, Thomas Bottone, Sr.; a sister, Lucy (Bottone) Zodda and was an uncle to many nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Joseph Bottone

Visitation Wednesday morning, June 4, 2014 from 8am to 9am at the Maceroni Funeral Home, 1381 Smith Street, North Providence, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am at Holy Ghost Church, Knight St., Providence. Burial will be private.
