Norma Montecalvo (Conca), 93, formerly of Federal St., passed away Wednesday, April 2, 2008 at Miriam Hospital. She was the beloved wife of the late Vincent “Jimmy” Montecalvo. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Fabrizio and Anna (Cappiello) Conca.
Norma had worked in the Purchasing Department of Providence City Hall. She was a loving wife and mother and a devoted grandmother and great-grandmother.
She leaves two sons, Vincent J. Montecalvo, Esq. and his wife Joyce and Donald F. Montecalvo; a daughter, Carolyn Ranucci and her husband, Joseph; four grandchildren, Craig Montecalvo, Esq., Keith Montecalvo, David Ranucci and Kerri Ranucci and two great-grandchildren, Adriana Ranucci and Landon Montecalvo. She was the sister of the late Domenic Conca and Vilma M. Crugnale.
Her funeral will be held Saturday at 9am from the MACERONI Funeral Home, 1381 Smith St., North Providence, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am in Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, 64 Brayton Ave., Providence. VISITATION Friday 4-7pm. Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
