Nancy E. Imondi (Pompei), 83, of North Providence, passed away Friday, November 9, 2012 at Rhode Island Hospital. She was the beloved wife of John V. Imondi. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Antonio and Carolina (Cestrone) Pompei
Nancy worked as an inspector at the G.E. Base Works Plant in Providence after which she taught line dancing for over 30 years at many Senior Centers.
Besides her husband of 64 years, she leaves two daughters, Lucille Tudino and her husband, David and Elaine Ferrante; a granddaughter, Nancy Ferrante and a brother, Silvio Pompei. She was the sister of the late Armando Pompei and Jennie Otocki.
Her Funeral will be held Tuesday, November 13, 2012 at 10 a.m., in the Maceroni Funeral Home, 1381 Smith St., North Providence, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. in St. Thomas Church, 65 Fruit Hill Ave., Providence. Visitation Monday 4-7 p.m. Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to St. Thomas Church Food Pantry, 65 Fruit Hill Ave., Providence, RI 02909.
