Mollie Carchia

MOLLIE (BOVE) CARCHIA, 92, of Johnston, passed away Thursday, April 3, 2014 at Heritage Hills Nursing Centre. She was the beloved wife of Daniel Carchia for 71 years. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late James V. and Lucia (Costantino) Bove.

Mrs. Carchia had worked for Carla Corp. before retiring.

A loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother she is also survived by three daughters, Joanne DiSanto, Cheryl Champagne and her husband Richard and Linda Manning and her husband Paul; two sisters, Mafalda Thomas and Virginia Kanelos; six grandchildren, Michelle D’Ordine, Gina DiSanto, Tracy Duhamel, Robert Croce, Coral Champagne and Stephanie DiSanto; and eleven great grandchildren. She was the sister of the late Peter, Jerry, and Anthony Bove and Lynne Cardinal.

Her funeral will be held Tuesday, April 8, 2014 at 9 a.m., from the MACERONI FUNERAL HOME, 1381 Smith St., North Providence, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Grace Church, George Waterman Rd., Johnston. Burial will be in Highland Memorial Park, Johnston. Visitation Monday 5-8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to Heritage Hills Activities Fund, 80 Douglas Pike, Smithfield, RI 02917.
