Michael Piscopiello

January 30, 1943 — June 25, 2014

MICHAEL PISCOPIELLO, 71, of Providence, passed away Wednesday, June 25, 2014 at Home. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Michele and Maria (Cocciardi) Piscopiello.

Michael worked for Joseph Tavone Painting and later worked for the Providence School Department before retiring. He was a member of the International Laborers Local 1033. In his younger days he loved to golf. He coached Joseph Tavone Painting, Bonefro Club and Uncle Mike’s Softball Teams.

He is survived by three brothers, Domenic “Tom” Piscopiello, Frederick “Fred” Piscopiello and Ernest Piscopiello, along with a sister, Sarah “Sally” Faella. He was the brother of the late Albert “Pesky” Piscopiello, John Piscopiello and Lisa Piscopiello. He loved and treasured his many nieces and nephews as much as they loved and cherished him.

His funeral will be held Tuesday, July 1, 2014 at 10 a.m. from the MACERONI Funeral Home, 1381 Smith St., North Providence, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. at Our Lady of Grace Church, George Waterman Rd. Johnston. Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. VISITATION Monday 4-7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Massachusetts General Hospital Transplant Center, 55 Fruit St., Boston, MA 02114.
