Michael L. Magno

September 12, 1951 — June 6, 2015

MICHAEL L. MAGNO, 63, of Providence, passed away on June 6, 2015 due to physical illness. He was the son of the late John and Marie (Cannone) Magno and the brother of John, William and Richard Magno. He was a graduate of Central High School in Providence and later worked in the pharmacy of Roger Williams Hospital.

Many of us remember Mike as kind, gentle, unselfish and a good guy. Sadly, due to a combination of bad influences and poor personal choices that had a negative impact on his sense of reasoning, Mike had limited ability in both understanding others and being understood by those close to him. We generally label this as mental illness. Except in the case of physical disorders that can affect one’s brain, we have to wonder whether bad influences and choices develop thought patterns that result in severely tainted norms and standards. Because of the complexities of the world’s system and it’s insecurities, situations in life and our limited abilities to always correctly interpret the things happening around us, I would highly recommend to those who read this to go with God and His only plan for salvation. That is to accept and receive His Son, the Christ, the Lord and Savior and only true hope for mankind, and rest in the comfort of knowing that where ever life takes us in the temporal realm, nothing will be able to take away our personal relationship with Him and also the guarantee that we will spend eternity with Him in His glorious kingdom. Any takers?

We would like to thank our relatives, friends and the staff at Banister House for the care and friendship they expressed to Mike during his life.

Funeral and Burial will be private.
