Mary Cottrell (Bucci), 83, of Greenville, passed away Tuesday, August 24, 2010 at Philip Hulitar Inpatient Center. She was the wife of the late Francis Cottrell. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Antonio and Antoinetta (Matteo) Bucci.
Mary was proudly employed by the Providence Journal as an Executive Secretary for many years, retiring in 1989. She spent her retired years happily traveling to Florida, hiking, enjoying nature, her friends and puppies.
She is survived by her two sisters, Irene Pascucci and her husband Pat and Genevieve DeLisle; her dear companion, Richard Servoss; five nieces; four nephews and her best friend, “Scooter.” She was the sister of the late James Bucci and the sister-in-law of the late Bernard Delisle, Sr.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Mary’s Life, Monday, August 30, 2010 at 11 a.m. in the Maceroni Funeral Home 1381 Smith St., North Providence. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to Home & Hospice Care of RI, 1085 North Main St., Providence, RI 02904.
