Mary Burke

Mary Burke (Alessandro), 81, of North Providence, passed away Monday, April 4, 2011 at Summit Commons. She was the beloved wife of the late Joseph Burke. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Sebastiano and Josephine Alessandro. Mary was the co- owner and operator, along with her sister Sally, of Mar-Vell’s Hair Salon. She leaves a son, Keith Burke; a brother, Carmin Alessandro; her sister, Sally Valleco and three grandchildren, Craig, Chad and Joelle Burke. She was the sister of the late Domenic, Frank, Anthony and Rose Alessandro. Her funeral will be held Friday at 8 a.m. from the Maceroni Funeral Home, 1381 Smith St., North Providence with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9 a.m. in St. Anthony Church, 1413 Mineral Spring Ave., North Providence. Visitation respectfully omitted. Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Providence.
