Martha R. Eagan

Martha R. (Kelly) Eagan, 85, of Providence, passed away, Sunday, October 17, 2010 at home surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of James J. Eagan, Jr. Born in Cumberland, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Mary (Diskin) Kelly.

A loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, besides her husband of 60 years she is survived by a son, James M. Eagan; two daughers, Martha A. Schweitzer and Virginia M. Filuminia; a sister, Rita Grimes; six grandchildren, Erik, Lindsey and Sarah Schweitzer, Rachel Filuminia, Edwin Rainey and Sean Eagan; and her two great-grandchildren, Conner and MacKenzie. She was the sister of the late James, Francis and Alice Kelly, Mary Eagan, Bertha Moreau and Elizabeth McVeigh.

Her funeral and burial will be private. Relatives and friends are invited to share their memories and condolences, Saturday, October 23rd 2010 from 1:00 – 5:00 p.m. at the family residence located at 29 Peckham Ave., Providence, RI 02908.
