Mariette P. Zambarano

MARIETTE P. (PELLETIER) ZAMBARANO, 88, formerly of Smithfield, passed away Wednesday, August 17, 2016 at the Philip Hulitar Hospice Center. She was the beloved wife of the late Anthony L. Zambarano. Born in Burrillville, she was the daughter of the late William and Corona (Lamothe) Pelletier.

Mrs. Zambarano received her Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees from Boston University. She was an educator for the Providence School Department for over 20 years before retiring.

She leaves two sons, Robert A. Zambarano and his wife Heidi and Stephen A. Zambarano and his wife Joyce; two daughters, Maria J. Zambarano and her husband Brian McClarnon and Nancy B. Zambarano and her husband David Reitmeyer; eleven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. She was the mother of the late Mark E. Zambarano and the sister of the late Cecile Edgerly, Maurice Pelletier, Veronique Dickey and William Pelletier.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial Tuesday, August 23, 2016 at 11 a.m. at Our Lady of Grace Church, George Waterman Rd., Johnston. Burial will be private. Visitation will be held on Monday from 4-7 p.m. at the MACERONI FUNERAL HOME, 1381 Smith St., North Providence. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to Volunteer Services for Animals, P.O. Box 6263, Providence, RI 02904-6263.
