Marie C. Rianna

Marie C. Rianna. “Baboo” (Persechino), 83, of Johnston, passed away Sunday, February 5, 2012 at the Philip Hulitar Center. She was the wife of Stephen D. Rianna, Jr. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Francesco and Giovanna (Della Grotta) Persechino and the step-daughter of the late Amelia (Ricci) Persechino.

Besides her husband of 62 years, she is survived by her sons and their wives, Stephen B. and Nell Rianna, Gary J. and Maryann Rianna; a daughter, Sherry Nortarangelo; her grandchildren, Stephen B. and his wife, Jennifer Rianna, Jamie L. Rianna, Chelsea Rianna and Zachary J. Rianna, as well as two great-grandchildren, Nicholas and Mia Grace Rianna. She also leaves her sister, Anna Mollicone and many nieces and nephews.

Her funeral will be held Friday, February 10, 2012 at 9 a.m. from the MACERONI FUNERAL HOME, 1381 Smith St., North Providence, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in Our Lady of Grace Church, George Waterman Rd., Johnston. Visitation Thursday 5-8 p.m.. Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to Home and Hospice Care of RI, 1085 North Main St., Providence, RI 02904.
