MINICUCCI, MARIA "MARIE" (RICCIARDI), 89, of Johnston, passed away peacefully Saturday, September 17, 2011 at Miriam Hospital surrounded by her loving family. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Luigi and Marguerite (Zanni) Ricciardi.

Mrs. Minicucci had worked as a claims processor for Allendale Insurance for 19 years before retiring. She was a communicant of St. Joseph Church for 50 years.

A beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother she is survived by four daughters, Jane Gaudiana and her husband Frank, Kathryn Stanford, Lisa Zinno and Lora Minicucci; her former husband, David Minicucci; a sister, Emilia Folgo; a sister-in-law, Emily Ricciardi; five grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. She was the sister of the late Joseph Ricciardi and Catherine DeLorenzo.

Visitation will be held Thursday Morning from 9:00 a.m. to 10:15 a.m. in the MACERONI Funeral Home, 1381 Smith Street, North Providence followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. in St. Joseph Church, 144 Danielson Pike, North Scituate. Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to Susan G. Komen for the Cure, Attn: Donor Services, PO Box 650309, Dallas, TX 75265-0309 or Alzheimer’s Association, RI Chapter, 245 Waterman St. Ste. 306, Providence, RI 02906.
