Marguerite R. Cote

Marguerite R. Cote ( St. George ), 94, passed away Friday, December 25, 2009 at St. Antoine Residence in North Smithfield. She was the beloved wife of the late Conrad R. Cote. Born in McCleod, Alberta, Canada, she was the daughter of the late William and Marie L. (Lajoie) St. George. She moved to Providence in 1960, to Esmond in 1990 and has lived at St. Antoine Residence for the past nine years.

Mrs. Cote was a seamstress at the former Pawtucket Dress Company for 17 years before retiring in 1980.

She is survived by two sons, Maurice Cote and Richard Cote; two daughters, Paulette Dugas and Louise Flynn; eleven grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren.
She was the sister of the late Joseph L. St. George, Albert St. George, Sr. Irene St. George, Juliette Cote, Sr. Ann Regis and Imelda St. George.


Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial Monday at 11 a.m. in the Chapel at St. Antoine Residence. Visitation Sunday 2-4 p.m. at the Maceroni Funeral Home, 1381 Smith St., North Providence. Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Providence. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to St. Antoine Residence, 10 Rhodes Ave., North Smithfield, RI 02896.
