Margaret Christopher

June 11, 1916 — May 3, 2013

MARGARET CHRISTOPHER (PALOMBO), 96, of North Providence, passed away Friday, May 3, 2013 at the Philip Hulitar Inpatient Center. She was the wife of the late Edward Christopher. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Americo and Angelina (DiStefano) Palombo.

Mrs. Christopher had worked for Trifari Manufacturing before retiring. She was a member of the St. Ann Sodality of Our Lady of Grace Church and served on the Madonna Della DiFessa Feast Committee. She was also a member of the Lymansville Womens Auxillary.

She leaves her daughter, Mary Ann Cecere and her husband, Donato A. Cecere; a grandson, Donato A. Cecere, Jr., a brother, Albert Palombo; a sister, Florence Silva and many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late John, Americo, Angelo and Nicholas Palombo, Mary Falchini and Edith Bucci.

Her funeral will be held Monday, May 6, 2013 at 8 a.m. from the MACERONI FUNERAL HOME, 1381 Smith St., North Providence, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9 a.m. in Our Lady of Grace Church, George Waterman Rd., Johnston. Visitation Sunday 4-7 p.m. Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. In lieu of flowers donations in her memory may be made to Our Lady of Grace Memorial Fund, 4 Lafayette St, Johnston, RI 02919 or Home & Hospice Care of RI, 1085 North Main St., Providence, RI 02904.
