Madeline J., Walsh ( Nadeau ), 89, of Cranston passed away Wednesday, August 1, 2012 at Life Care Center of Auburn. She was the beloved wife of the late Raymond J. Walsh. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Adrien and Bridget (Curran) Nadeau.

Madeline was a teller at the former Fleet Bank for 15 years before retiring in in 1987. She was a communicant of Immaculate Conception Church in Cranston and served as the first treasurer of the Rosary and Alter Sodality. She also played a very important part in the lives of her niece and her nephews.

She leaves her sister, Kathleen Caldarone; her niece, Janice Tarkiainen; five nephews, Everett McPhillips, Ernest Nadeau, Jr., Gene Nadeau, Robert Nadeau, Jr. and James Williams, Jr. and was the aunt of the late John McPhillips She was the sister of the late Ernest J. Nadeau, Clarence L. Nadeau, Robert A. Nadeau, Leona McPhillips and Doris V. Dowiot.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial Monday, August 6, 2012 at 10 a.m. in Immaculate Conception Church, Oaklawn Ave., Cranston. Visitation respectfully omitted. Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
